Paris might be one of the most photogenic cities with its beautiful landmarks, green spaces, and history! After 5 days in Paris, here are some of the most photo worthy spots to take those Insta-worthy shots. These Instagrammable places are also some of the best places to visit in Paris in general, so you won’t want to miss them!

1. The Eiffel Tower

The Eiffel Tower is easily one of the most iconic and photo worthy spots to take pictures in Paris. One of my favorite spots out of the many locations for the best Eiffel Tower pictures is actually the stairs behind the Trocadero Gardens. If you put this into google, this spot should come right up!

When taking photos around the Eiffel Tower, make sure to keep an eye on your things. I, unfortunately, know many other bloggers that have had their things stolen while taking photos near the Eiffel Tower. This is not to scare you, but just for you to take extra precautions.

If you are visiting Paris in March, you can also get some beautiful photos of flowers framing the Eiffel Tower!

If you plan on going to the top of the Eiffel Tower, the lines can be quite long. I’d recommend getting a skip-the-line ticket.

2. The Louvre

Next up, put your hands up for the largest museum in the world, the Louvre. When the glass pyramids were built as the entrance to this grand museum, many were against it and wanted it removed.

Now, these glass pyramids are one of the most iconic photo worthy spots in Paris!  Many just visit the outside of the Louvre for their Instagram worthy photo without even entering the museum!

If you are interested in art, this museum holds some of the most famous pieces of art. And even if you are not crazy about art, I’d still recommend putting the Louvre on your list to explore while in Paris, just make sure you get a skip-the-line ticket!

Since the Louvre is a very popular Instagrammable place in Paris, I’d recommend getting here very early to avoid crowds. Sunrise creates a beautiful photo at the Louvre. Consider even going into the nearby corridor for an interesting shot of the Louvre from the doorway.

You may also want to consider trying to get a insta-worthy photo closer to sundown when the Louvre lights up.

Address: Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris, France

Hours: Monday, Wednesday – Sunday 9 am – 6 pm; Tuesday the Louvre is closed.

3. Arc de Triomphe

Located at the center of Place Charles de Gaulle sits Arc de Triomphe. Not only is this Arc a stunning piece of architecture and a part of Paris history, but also makes for a very photo worthy spot to take photos. At this point, I think we can agree that Paris is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe.

There are a lot of different angles to shoot Arc de Triomphe, but again, the best photos will be during the morning when there are fewer people.

We visited Arc de Triomphe mid-day and as you can see, there are a handful of people and cars, even in April during shoulder season!

After getting your Instagrammable photos with Arc de Triomphe, consider going to the top to see Paris from above!

Address: Pl. Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris, France

Arc de Triomphe should be on any itinerary with 5 days in Paris.

4.  Colonnes de Buren Palais Royal

Another unique and photo worthy spot to take photos in Paris is at the courtyard of Colonnes de Buren Palais Royal. The palace used to house royal families up until Versailles was built. Explore the courtyard where you will see 260 white and black striped columns ranging in height. Believe it or not, originally this was another controversial artwork in France.

Address: Galerie de la Cour d’Honneur, 2 Rue de Montpensier, 75001 Paris, France

5. Versailles

Versailles is another iconic and photo worthy spot you must visit while in Paris. Get lost in this tremendous Palace designed by King Louie and Marie Antoinette. Decked in gold with exquisite gardens, you will not be short of Instagrammable photo spots.

Versailles is outside just outside the city of Paris so you will have to either take the train, cab or go on a tour. The gardens are actually free to visit, but you will need a ticket for the inside of the Palace.

I’d recommend making it a day trip to Versailles since the property is huge and very worth exploring. If you take the train, make sure to check the train times! They do not run all night.

Check Skip the line tickets here.

Address: Place d’Armes, 78000 Versailles, France

Hours: Tuesday – Sunday 9 am – 6:30 pm; Monday the Versailles is closed.

6. La Maison Rose

If you love pastel pink buildings, make your way over to La Maison Rose. Located in the trendy Montmartre neighborhood in Paris, get the classic Instagrammable shot in front of this pink restaurant.

During the summer months, you will find tons of greenery growing on the upper half of the building. Another classic restaurant nearby is also Le Consulat. The most popular photo angle is from the front. If you go early in the morning, you can play with the angles with little to no people around!

7. Musée d’Orsay

Not only is Musée d’Orsay a beautiful museum, but also known as a top Instagram spot in Paris. Unlike the Louvre, the instagrammable spot at Musée d’Orsay is actually inside the museum by the clock tower. I’d consider getting skip the line tickets for the museum and be prepared for a line.

The photo spot is located on the 5th floor, but remember to enjoy the rest of the museum. During our visit, they had a fabulous Vincent Van Gogh exhibit.

Address: 1 Rue de la Légion d’Honneur, 75007 Paris, France

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday 9:30 am – 6 pm; Thursday 9:30 am – 9:45 pm; Closed on Monday.

8. Sacré-Cœur Basilica

Sacré-Cœur Basilica also known as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Paris is another popular place to take photoshoots in Paris. Located in the Montmartre neighborhood, this beautiful church is a top attraction for tourists as well as those seeking a classic Instagrammable photo in Paris.

One of the most popular places to photograph Sacre Coeur is from the Carrousel de Saint-Pierre, a carrousel located at Square Louise-Michel. Another great square to get Instagrammable Paris photos is Square Marcel Bleustein Blanchet.

9. Fontaines de la Concorde

Located at Place de la Concorde, Fontaines de La Concorde are two grand and decorative fountains. One faces north and the other south and is meant to commemorate maritime commerce and industry.

Place de la Concorde, the square the fountains are located, is actually a very famous square. This is where a lot of executions were held including Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette.

10. The Paris Seine River

The Paris Seine offers photo worthy spots along the whole river. Whether you are looking to have views of the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, or Pont Alexandre III bridge, you will be able to get the Seine in view! For a really epic Paris photoshoot, you can even plan a beautiful French picnic in front of the Seine.

While in Paris, I’d also recommend taking an actual boat tour down the Seine! It was one of the best things we did in Paris since it allowed us to see a lot of the top Paris attractions at night and all lit up!

11. Tour Montparnasse

Looking for an incredible observation deck to see all of Paris? Get photo worthy pictures from the top of Tour Montparnasse! You will be greeted with 360 views of the entire city, including an awesome view of the Eiffel tower! Just to throw it out there, champagne is also served up here!

12. Jardin des Tuileries

We accidentally discovered the Tuileries Gardens while leaving the Louvre and I am so glad we did! These beautiful gardens make for one of the best photo worthy spots in Paris. Find beautiful blooms in Spring as well as lovely fall colors in Autumn.

The park offers lines of picturesque trees, sculptures, fountains, and the Arc de Triomphe du Carrousel.

Address: Place de la Concorde, 75001 Paris, France

13. Moulin Rouge

While you are in the Montmartre neighborhood, another fun photoshoot location in Paris is in front of the cabaret, Moulin Rouge! Well known for the hit musical with Nicole Kidman, many add it to the top of their Paris bucket list.

Believe it or not, it is said to even be a true story. Take a photo from across the street to get the famous windmill and bright red colors.

Address: 82 Bd de Clichy, 75018 Paris, France

15. Notre Dame

Known as one of the finest examples of Gothic French architecture, Notre Dame is another top photo-worthy spot in Paris!

Unfortunately due to the horrific fire, Notre Dame is currently under construction. However, you should still visit and may still be able to get some great photos if you are creative with the angles.

Address: 6 Parvis Notre-Dame – Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004 Paris, France

15. Rue Crémieux Street

While we personally did not get to explore Rue Crémieux Street during our time in Paris, this street is known as one of the most Instagrammable places in Paris. You can find this street in the 12th arrondissement and will be greeted with tons of beautiful pastel colors.

Because this is a very popular place for photos, it is best to get here early. Additionally, these are people’s homes and private property, so please be very respectful!

16.Parc des Buttes Chaumont

If you are looking for NYC Central Park vibes in Paris, you will most definitely want to head over to Parc des Buttes Chaumont. This beautiful park also offers an overlook of the city which is really spectacular and free to see I might add! The most popular photo spot is near the Temple de la Sybille which is a Roman-style monument.

The colors in the park are also especially beautiful during the fall in Paris!
