If you are anything like me, you decided you’re ready to go on vacation in Puerto Rico, and now you need to figure out where to stay! Since staying at Airbnbs is one of my favorite ways to travel, I am sharing some of the best Airbnbs in Puerto Rico to stay at!
In this Puerto Rico Airbnb guide, I will break it down by popular towns and neighborhoods you might want to consider visiting during your vacation in Puerto Rico. I’d even consider taking a road trip around the island, stopping which we did during our 4 days in Puerto Rico!

Best Airbnbs in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico
Find some of the best things to do in Old San Juan. With tons of Airbnbs in the area, Old San Juan is a great place to stay! If you plan on staying in Old San Juan your entire trip, a car is not necessary since the area is relatively small and walkable.
Additionally, Uber has a huge presence. If you plan on staying in other areas during your Puerto Rico vacation, I’d suggest renting a car after leaving Old San Juan.
Wander the Checkerboard Floors at a Welcoming Hideaway
This cute Old San Juan Airbnb has a terracotta-tiled patio, exposed ceiling beams, and a modern kitchen in the heart of Old San Juan—close to shops, and the main tourist destinations.

This Old San Juan Airbnb is a brightly decorated loft. Relax at this retreat after exploring the colorful streets. Additionally, the host offers post-party remedies with a compact kitchen and an updated bathroom.
The location is perfect for those who enjoy a more lively scene with nearby bars and music.

This beautiful 4 bedroom home is in the heart of Old San Juan. This colonial home has an atrium filled with plants and a large kitchen. Past guests love the location and the design of the home. If you are traveling with a larger group, this is one of the best airbnbs in Puerto Rico.

If you are looking for a more remote and tropical experience, I would suggest checking out Puerto Rico Airbnbs in or around El Yunque National Forest. This is actually the only tropical rainforest in the United States.
Additionally, I’d suggest renting a car and getting insurance since there are potholes (we lost a rim).
El Yunque Waterfalls, Forest & River House
Located in the South area of El Yunque National Forest, this space has hammocks, a deck, table games, a pool table, and waterfalls. There are also additional sitting areas to enjoy with a big gazebo.

For those looking for some unique Airbnbs in Puerto Rico, I wanted to share some cool treehouses to consider during your vacation.
El Yunque View Treehouse
The Yunque Treehouse is a two-story treehouse that has its very own kitchen, living room, and dining room, all with stunning views of Puerto Rico’s national rainforest. On the top floor find a cozy bedroom with an en-suite bathroom.

The Bubble PR is an ecological and unique experience in the mountains of Ponce, PR. Only 18 minutes from the City of Ponce, immerse yourself in nature, abundant in flora and fauna, and located on the shore of one of the rivers in Ponce.
This stay is for the nature lover looking to disconnect. With that said, Wifi is not offered. Past guests loved the connection to nature, the pool, and the unique experience the Bubble Dome offers.
